Crisp, white glittering ice, as far as the eye can see. Air so fresh, clear and cold it freezes the very breath from one’s lips.
If this sound like your idea of heaven, why not put your driving skills to the ultimate test with Bentley in the frozen playgrounds of Finland, Canada or China?
As every owner knows, there is nothing quite like driving a Bentley. And absolutely nothing compares to the heart-stopping thrill of driving a Bentley on ice.
Peter Grant, Bentley spokesman, explains: “Earlier this year, World rally champion Juha Kankkunen set a new record of 205.48mph in the Continental Supersports Convertible driving on a sheet of ice in Finland.
“To celebrate this astounding achievement, Bentley is inviting selected guests to participate in Power on Ice 2012.
“A truly remarkable experience, Bentley Power on Ice enables discerning drivers to enjoy some of the world’s most stunning landscapes whilst pushing the boundaries of the legendary Bentley to its limits.”
This exclusive series of winter adventures invites a small select group of guests to discover how exceptionally well the Bentley performs on snow and smooth ice.
A comprehensive two-day programme of personal instruction, within a controlled environment, fully demonstrates the winter capabilities of Bentley’s all-wheel drive and the car’s perfect poise in extreme conditions. After honing one’s driving skills with this intensive coaching, the British weather can hold no fears!
Peter adds: “This is an unmistakably Bentley experience. “Every element of Power on Ice has been carefully considered to create an impeccable balance of excitement, instruction and indulgence.
“The locations – in Finland, Canada and China – are chosen both for their icy perfection and the magnificent comfort afforded to visitors.”
Power on Ice takes drivers and the car to the limit – and safely back again.
The individual and exclusive programme puts just two guests into the car with their Bentley driving experts, allowing activities to be tailored exactly to the participants’ level of skill.
Drivers learn how to handle such demanding situations as slalom, emergency avoidance, braking and acceleration. The Bentley team will demonstrate the effect of weight transfer on the car’s handling during cornering, and how to use it to one’s advantage.
